B1. Developing criteria for the product/outcome
See an example of success criteria and a video explaining what success criteria are.
B2. Planning and recording the development process of the project
You need to provide evidence of a detailed and accurate personal plan of how to manage their project. See template here.
Your plan must include:
• short and long term planning broken down into specific steps
• clear connections to your project
• specific dates and deadlines
The record of the development process includes:
• an explanation of the process from start to finish that corresponds to the plan
• changes that are justified
B3. Demonstrating self-management skills
What skills have I learnt?
In which areas have I improved?
What evidence do I have of my development?
How do I feel about my progress?
B1. Developing criteria for the product/outcome
- You must define realistic criteria to measure the quality of the project’s final outcome or product. See example below.
- The specifications for success should be directly linked to the evaluation of the final product. A number of specifications that are sufficient to cover the entire project should be defined. An insufficient number of specifications mean that it is not possible to verify whether the goal has been met.
- Make sure your criteria are focused on the quality of the completed product/outcome.
- You must show how your research informed your criteria.
See an example of success criteria and a video explaining what success criteria are.

B3. Demonstrating self-management skills
- Outline the self-management skills you had before you started PP and the ones you developed through the project. Refer to the AtLs skills document.
- Refer to and write about specific situations during your Personal Project Journey where you had to use your self-management skills that you had before you started PP. You can list self-management tools you have used (apps, calendars, post-its....)
- Ask yourself:
What skills have I learnt?
In which areas have I improved?
What evidence do I have of my development?
How do I feel about my progress?
